This is the blog of two massive dorks who just wanted an excuse to write to each other. It’s mostly about music, but it’s also about writing, being a father and a child, and about life in general. We both really wanted to write to each other about things that we love. We are both sappy romantics who love to have a good overly emotional experience.

I’m an almost 30 year old adult, living 400+ miles away from my dad. I write fiction in my free time and I’m currently editing a novel that I’ve been working on for a little over a year. I enjoy baking and hosting elaborate parties for my friends. My love of music has been molded and shaped by my dad during my childhood and though we diverge a lot on our tastes, we still share a deep love of it. I wanted to start this blog because I wanted an excuse to be a sappy dork with my dad on a regular basis.

I’m a 20 something ghost living in a late 50s shell. Throughout my life, I have spent lots of time in various rabbit holes from astrophotography to high-end audio to smoking and curing meats to cooking in general. I share with my kids a wide ranging interest in all things music, with a penchant for the eclectic. I have spent 29 years in higher education as a professor, department chair, dean, and vice president. Like Elise, I see this blog as a great opportunity to geek-out together on our shared interests.
